ANC secretary-general Ace Magashule believes giant strides need to be taken in order to implement the leading parties’ resolutions.
Magashule was referring to the resolutions made at the 2017 Nasrec conference, which included the nationalisation of the South African Reserve Banks and the expropriation of land without compensation.
"We have no choice...it’s time for a wake-up call," Magashule told News24.
"Our people no longer want slogans, all of us must wake up. All of us must be more radical in implementing ANC decisions."
As the secretary-general, Magashule believes it's up to him to drive these resolutions.
"As the SG, that is the legacy I am going to leave; I am going to make sure we implement the resolutions," he continued.
"I don’t think we are going to be softies. I don’t think we will satisfy everybody, but we will take on board and work for the working class."
