Helen Zille has taken up a new role at the Institute of Race Relations, it was confirmed on Sunday.
News24 reported that the former Democratic Alliance leader has been employed by the IRR as senior policy fellow, writer and analyst.
Zille revealed her main goals include halting the proposed National Healthcare Insurance scheme, stopping the expropriation of land without compensation and protects South Africans’ savings and pensions.
"I hope to continue the battle of ideas outside of direct party politics and as such, I will be writing and speaking about liberal ideas and solutions to South Africa's problems," said Zille.
