The 2019 Currie Cup final will be contested between the Free State Cheetahs and the Golden Lions following their wins on Saturday.
The first semi-final saw the Lions host the Griquas in Johannesburg, with the visitors looking to make their first final since 1970. Unfortunately, there was no fairytale ending for the Griquas.
The Lions were too accurate for the men from Kimberly, running out 34-19 winners to book their place in next week's final.
The competition them travelled west to Bloemfonaten, where the Cheetahs hosted the Sharks. The visitors enjoyed a bright start, running in three tries to one in the first half.
But the Cheetahs enjoyed yet another strong finish. With the game tied at 30-all with 11 minutes to play, the home side ran in 21 unanswered points for a memorable victory and home final.
