On Thursday morning, Gagasi FM radio presenter, Nonjabulo Zwane and Bright Ntuli-Kunene walked out mid-air citing workplace exploitation and mistreatment.
Taking to Twitter, the morning show presenter, Zwane recalled how in 2018, Eskom employee Thembisile Yende was murdered by a fellow employee who was her boyfriend at the time.
Zwane went on to reveal anxiety she has experienced in a Uber with a male driver. Her comments come at a time where the spotlight is on violence against women in South Africa.
In her tweets, Zwane shun a light on behaviour women are allegedly exposed to at their workplaces
"We live in a time where we can't even count on colleagues to protect us from possible harm because they themselves are inappropriate with us on a daily!" tweeted Zwane.
The Durban radio station has acknowledged the 'walk-off" both females and shared on Twitter that they "also stand in solidarity with them and the women and children of KZN as they continue to be unjustly harassed and murdered."
