Babes Wodumo's alleged hackers have finally come forward and confirmed that the gqom singer's account was hacked.
Babes left fans fuming when she poked fun of Lady Zamar's acne in a video on social media after the singer's appearance on Idols SA in August.
Babes quickly hit back at claims and said that her account was hacked and that she would never poke fun at her. The Wololo hitmaker said that the hackers had manipulated the voice in the video to make people believe that it's her.
On Sunday, the hackers apologized for any harm they caused on the singer's account.
"This is not Babes Wodumo. She’s totally correct when she said her account was hacked. We would like to apologize as the hackers to @MbaululaFikile, @TiwaSavage, @lasizwe, @pearlthusi and @pennylebyane [and] for reckless and disrespectful tweets at @ladyzamar," the hackers wrote.
The hackers also apologized for the tweets on xenophobic attacks.
"Fellow Zimbabweans and Nigerians It was not Babes who tweeted regarding the xenophobic attack’s it was us the hackers."
The hackers have vowed to 'never hack another celebrity account' again, saying that they will be giving Babes her account back.
“We promise not to hack any ones twitter and that you guys will treat Babes wodumo and continue book her for shows and interviews (sic)."
"The previous tweets have been deleted and we sincerely apologize. Babes will be given her account today."
