Busiswa Gqulu has maintained that she is "safe and unharmed" following reports of allegedly being assaulted by her ex-boyfriend, Katlego "Kaygee" Mlangeni.

Busiswa and her friend Marc were allegedly beaten up by DJ Kaygee after he caught them "having sex".

Kaygee shared his side of the story in a post on Facebook, saying he caught the two in bed together. He said that it angered him to see them on the bed that he "slept on every day". The post has since been deleted.

The singer responded to fans concerns and said that they should not worry about her and that she is safe.

"I'm safe and unharmed and I am definitely performing in Botswana tonight [Saturday]. Thank you for your genuine concern," she wrote on Twitter.

Marc, whose real name is Themba Kubheka, shared an image of his bruised face, detailing the assault by Kaygee.

Marc has since denied having sex with Busiswa and said that they were "just talking". According to Marc, DJ Kaygee and Busiswa are not officially together and that the DJ should not even be at the house.
